I'm so excited to officially launch "Fifty Shades of Greyhound", a fundraising project from East View Studio, in support of Crossing Cottage Greyhound Sanctuary.

From January to March 2023, 50 lucky hounds will be photographed to star in the Fifty Shades of Greyhound coffee table book.

REGISTRATION CLOSES 31 December 2022

Please note: Only 50 gorgeous hounds will be featured in this book, so spaces are likely to fill up quickly.

WHAT'S INVOLVED?
- £50 Registration Fee includes your East View Studio portrait session (usually from £115).

- 100% of the registration fee is donated by you, directly to Crossing Cottage

- My favourite image(s) from our session will feature alongside your greyhound’s story, on their own double page spread in the "Fifty Shades of Greyhound" book.

- Studio portrait sessions will take place at East View, from January through to March 2023, and will be available on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays.

- The final book will be available in 2 sizes and is due to be published in Summer 2023.  You will be able to preorder your copy, at a discounted price, at your portrait session.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
My dog is not from Crossing Cottage - can we still be involved?
Yes!  All greyhounds can show their love and support for their brothers and sisters at Crossing Cottage Greyhound Sanctuary by appearing in the book.

My dog won't stay still - can they still be photographed?
That’s certainly not a problem!  Most of the dogs I photograph are actually on lead for the duration of their session - I just digitally remove it in post production.

My greyhound is very anxious.  I'd love them to be included but don't think you'll be able to photograph them?
Every dog is different - some love to pose and be the centre of attention.  Others not so much.  Your dog's comfort, safety and well-being are my primary concern.  I only book 2 sessions per day, so time is not an issue.  Before your session, I'll take the time to get to know you and your dog over a coffee before we even head into the studio.  Frequent breaks are encouraged in our paddock.  I have been photographing dogs exclusively for over 10 years and have taken courses in Canine Behaviour and Communication.  I'm currently undertaking studies to become a clinical behaviourist.

In addition, and probably most importantly, I work at Crossing Cottage.  I spend a lot of time each week with all of the resident hounds and love them all!

Can my non-greyhound be photographed with their sibling?
Of course!  I am booking a maximum of 2 sessions per day so we'll have lots of time to include all your pets in your session.  We’ll capture some gorgeous group portraits and just as many individual photos of their sibling too.  Weather permitting, we'll be able to head out to our paddock for some outdoor images as well.  However, only your greyhound will appear in the book.

Will my dog definitely be in the book?
Yes! Every greyhound who registers for this project is guaranteed their own double page spread in the coffee table book - spaces are strictly limited and are likely to fill up quickly though, so get in touch if you’re keen to be a part of this project!

Can I purchase prints or digital files from the session?
You can, but are under absolutely no obligation to do so.  Simply let me know during your session and I'll arrange a viewing appointment for you to look through your images and make your selections.
